Step 1: Gathering the Materials
Before you begin, collect your necessary supplies. You will need plain white facial tissues, a pair of scissors (the ones shown have distinctive blue handles), and some thin, pliable floral wire (or a generic craft wire). A clean, flat surface, like this wooden table, is the perfect workspace.
Step 2: The Accordion Fold
Take one facial tissue and lay it flat. Start at one short edge and begin folding the tissue back and forth (like a paper fan or accordion) in even pleats, about one inch wide. Continue this fold along the entire length of the tissue. Your goal is to create a single, tight, multi-layered strip.
Step 3: Secure and Shape
Now we bring in the materials from Step 1. Take a 6-inch length of the green wire. Locate the exact center of your folded tissue strip and wrap the wire tightly around it, twisting it beneath to secure the bundle.
